St. Margaret Catholic Church is a new Catholic parish in far western Houston on the Grand Parkway (Hwy 99) just north of Interstate 10, on Franz Road. It is a parish of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, a new "order" (ordinariate diocese) created in 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI for former Episcopalians and Anglicans who desire full communion with the Catholic Church. The founding pastor is Fr. Steve Sellers, a former Episcopal priest who was ordained to the Catholic priesthood by His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, archbishop of Galveston-Houston, on June 25, 2013. As many of the clergy in the Ordinariate, Fr. Sellers is a married Catholic priest. He and his wife Dixie live in Cypress, Texas, in Northwest Houston, and Dixie teaches music in the Cy-Fair ISD. Fr. Sellers is the president at St. John XXIII College Preparatory (High School), where our parish meets in the new Student Center.
